We met with Christine Nowack and Robert Kern who gave us a tour and a tasting of their Five-O White and Five-O Red. We also discovered the name Martha Clara is an homage to the vintnerâ??s mother who ran Entenmannâ??s Bakery until she was 90 years old. |

This week we visit the Sheldrake Point Vineyard for a taste of their Reserve Riesling, their Meritage and their Ice Wine Riesling 2004 in their spectacular Cayuga Lakefront tasting room. We stay at the John Morris Manor Bed and Breakfast in Seneca Falls, a Greek-Revival home built in 1838.

Completed version. We visit the Finger Lakes region of New York near Seneca Lake. The Fox Run Vineyards tasting of the Riesling was everything the region is known for! We also tasted their delicious Cabernet Franc beside a gorgeous lakeside view. Seneca Falls is rich in history, and we spend some time in the Women's Rights National Historical Park.

We visit New York's first fruit micro-distillery, Warwick Valley Winery and Distillery and taste their famous Doc's Hard Cider and newly released, Bourbon Barrel Aged Apple port. Jeremy serves up their new line of fruit brandies and liquors (Eau de Vies). Further down the road we experience an historic tour of the Iron Forge Inn, Restaurant and Tap Room. Head Chef, Erik Johansen emphasizes local ingredients that reflect the seasons and shows us the Lincoln room, where the president may have enjoyed a meal. We wrap up this episode featuring Warwick Valley Winery's regulars; Red Molly, and their original song titled, Long Island Cowboy.
